Processing of waste from man-made deposits is an urgent and complex task. Very often these wastes are wastes of the main production, because it’s impossible to carry out the enrichment of products of a certain size with existing technical means. In different industries, these sizes may vary: for non-metallic rocks - this is waste with a particle size of less than 5 mm, for coal slimes - less than 3 mm, for gold- bearing ore - hundreds of microns.

Process wastes

Process wastes: e.g. Zinc concentrate

Purpose:
screening pulp of basic sulfates of non-ferrous metals in order to purify zinc sulfate from the gypsum component with a fineness of +0.04 mm.
Application:
mining and processing plants of non-ferrous metallurgy.
KROOSH Results:
the zinc content in the concentrate after removing the gypsum component from the original product reaches 45-47% against 25% in the original product, with the almost absence of gypsum in the zinc concentrate.
Reason of installation:
the customer couldn’t receive on-spec good product with the conventional screeners.
Product:
processed waste from electric steelmaking: separation of gypsum from zinc concentrate 0-0.04mm
Coal: desliming

Coal: Desliming 0.1mm

Purpose:
to increase efficiency of the line by removal of fines >0.1mm with the high ash content 50-60%.
Application:
slime storages of coal-washing plants.
KROOSH Results:
removal of fines >0.1mm with the high ash content (50-60%) allowed to receive the extra production volume of coal with low ash content 9-10%.
Reason of installation:
other screeners couldn't screen this product.
Product:
coal + 0.1mm to -3.0 mm for coke and by-product process.
Copper Ore Tailings

Copper Ore Tailings

Purpose:
to return copper ore fine fractions from long-term accumulated tailings to industrial processing, as well as to recycle these tailings.
Application:
technogenic deposits (copper ore tailings).
KROOSH Results:
for the first time ever the customer could increase efficiency as follows - copper ore fine fractions from long-term accumulated tailings were successfully returned to industrial processing.
Reason of installation:
to screen such tailings is an extremely difficult task due to many reasons (high moisture, not stable feed PSD, different sorts of contaminations). The conventional screeners cannot do this. Due to advantages of multi-frequency vibrating (MFV) screening technology by KROOSH this is what we can process now.
Product:
fine fractions <1mm (0.3mm, 0.6mm…) with high copper content.
