Chemical industry

In the chemical industry, KROOSH multi-frequency screeners are also widely used. High-spec product purity, high specific productivity per square meter, and, as a result, less footprint, allow screening both 10-15 mm ore and fine classification at the level of 15 microns.

The peculiarity of our screens is that KROOSH successfully works with hard-to-screen products, like products with high moisture, with a high content of "sticky" particles, as well as with product classification at the micron level.
  • Ore materials, such as phosphorite ore (10-35 mm)
  • Mineral fertilizers (2-5 mm)
  • Chemical powders (20-500 microns)
Phosphate ore

A significant variety of types and technological features of phosphorite ores has led to a variety of technologies for their processing. One of the features of screening this product is that screen meshes of conventional (single-frequency) screeners quickly become clogged due to high moisture (about 20%) and high phosphorus content.

KROOSH technology allows you to solve these problems without issue of screen clogging.

Chemical powders

Chemical powders are notoriously difficult to screen due to their fine particle size, irregular shapes, and often adhesive nature. While screening any powder presents challenges, chemical powders are even more problematic because of their low density and tendency to clump together, which leads to clogging and inefficiency. Efficient screening is critical in the chemical industry as it ensures consistency in product quality, which is essential for meeting industry standards and customer requirements. Poor screening can result in contamination, incorrect particle sizes, or product losses, all of which affect the final product's performance. In industries like pharmaceuticals or chemicals, high-quality screening directly impacts production efficiency, reducing waste and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Phosphate ore

Purpose:
control screening of phosphate ore with moisture up to 20% to separate stones and agglomerates larger than 15 mm.
Application:
phosphate ore production
KROOSH Results:
no more mesh clogging and blinding; clean ore without stones, ready-to-use for the process.
Reason of installation:
wet ore was difficult to be screened and as a result from one side - the screen mesh was blinded, and from another side – the stones 15+mm were dropped down through screens into the product.
Product:
phosphate ore

Magnesium oxide / Hydroxide powders

Magnesium oxide / Magnesium hydroxide powders

Purpose:
control screening of powders at 300, 150, and 100 µm thresholds with a production capacity of up to 2500 kg per hour. The commercial product is the undersized fraction.
Application:
chemical plants, pharma plants.
KROOSH Results:
precise separation at the specified thresholds with the declared production capacity, and commercial product losses are no more than 1.5%.
Reason of installation:
while screening at conventional vibrating screeners the following issues occured: sieve mesh clogging and loss of commercial product in the oversized fraction due to the low density (0.3...0.9 g/cm³) and large specific surface area (6...10 m²/g) of the screened material.
Product:
Magnesium oxide / Magnesium hydroxide powders
